Remote Accommodations for Spring Classes

Dear Students,

Although we began the semester in remote learning, we wanted to remind you of the expectations for in-person classes and the procedures to follow if you need to seek an accommodation to attend classes remotely when we resume in-person instruction.

Students with classes that are scheduled to be in-person are expected to attend courses in person when the university reopens for in-person instruction.  We recognize, however, that there may be many reasons a student may not be able to attend some or all classes in person. All faculty are prepared to provide meaningful instruction with substantial interaction, even to students who are unable to attend in person.

Below are instructions for students seeking a remote attendance accommodation for in-person classes:

1. Students with health-related concerns about attending classes in person during a pandemic should contact the Office of Disability Resources for Students as soon as possible to request a remote accommodation.
2. Students who aren’t eligible to receive a remote instruction accommodation from Disability Resources for Students may ask their professors for permission to attend classes remotely.  Professors will use their discretion to grant or deny remote accommodations under these circumstances.
3. Other students may be exposed to or contract COVID-19 during the semester; anyone who has or thinks they may have COVID-19 should avoid coming to the Law School and may attend class remotely. Please contact Dean Aden for additional instructions if you think you may have been exposed or if you have had a positive test.
