New RSO: Interdisciplinary Criminal Justice Coalition

The Interdisciplinary Criminal Justice Coalition is a recently registered University of Memphis organization established by five counseling psychology doctoral students.

The current objective of the coalition is to  engage in ongoing learning, critical conversations, dissemination of expert and evidenced based knowledge across disciplines, as well as service engagement with the greater Memphis community related to justice involved populations.

Because the coalition is only just beginning, students who get involved at this time will have the opportunity to help shape the coalition, take on a leadership position (would look great under ‘service’ in a CV), and get the experience of building an organization from the ground up.

The hope is to have members represented from various disciplines that engage with the criminal justice system.

The organization would gratefully welcome any suggestions.

There is a google form for students to fill out if they are interested.
