SETE Evaluations Close on Monday!

Did you love a course? Hate a course? Love the professor? Hate the professor?

The law school’s SETE course evaluation period for spring 2026 courses open on Monday, April 13th and close on Monday, April 27th at 11:59 PM.  Please evaluate your courses and your professors using the online SETE system. Your professors may use class time to allow you to complete your evaluation. Of course, you may complete the evaluation at any time during the evaluation period.  Access instructions are below.

If you complete your SETEs by April 27th, you will have early access to view “unofficial” grades!

Your thoughtful, professional, and candid feedback is crucial to the success of the Law School. Professors receive course evaluations after course grades are reported.  Neither your name nor any identifying information is given to the evaluated professor. The most important part of the SETE form is the comments section.  Please take the time to complete this section of the SETE evaluation.  This section allows you to provide specific, thoughtful feedback that expands on the numerical ratings.

Student evaluations play a critical role at the Law School.  Professors use your feedback to inform their decisions about course development and delivery, including teaching methodologies.  Additionally, your evaluations inform the review of professors that takes place every year as well as hiring, promotion, and retention decisions.  Thus, it is important that your feedback be professional, specific, and constructive.

SETE Instructions:

  • Go to myMemphis, the University of Memphis portal, located at https://my.memphis.edu.
  • Select Student Profile.
  • Click on “My Resources”.
  • Scroll to SETE Course Evaluations.
  • Select SETE Evaluations.
  • Select the course you want to evaluate.
  • Fill out the form and click the submit button. Make sure you are ready to submit. Once you click the submit button, you cannot access the SETE for that course again.
  • Print the confirmation page and keep for your records.
