Reminder – *Mandatory* 1L Debt Counseling Workshop – Thursday, February 18

Joanna Darden, Assistant Director of the University of Memphis Student Financial Aid Office, will be hosting a workshop on Debt Counseling for 1L students on Thursday, February 18 at 12 p.m. in Wade Auditorium.  She will discuss how to borrow smart, what the average loan debt looks like for UM Law graduates, and what to look forward to in repayment, i.e. different plans, consolidation, and payments.  She will also discuss financial planning for the bar exam.  Pizza will be provided.

The workshop is mandatory for 1L students and attendance will be taken, but if you do not have any student loans (law school or otherwise) and don’t anticipate taking out any student loans while you are in school, please contact Dean Aden to request permission to miss the session.
