3Ls: Judicial Clerkships in Murfreesboro, TN
The Circuit and Chancery Court Judges of the 16th Judicial District will have openings for judicial clerkships to begin August 2024. Preference will be given to those who have passed the Tennessee Bar Exam or those who are taking the Bar this year. The projected starting salary for this position is $44,400, including benefits, and is subject to the approved pay scale of Rutherford County Government. The expected length of the clerkship is one year.
Successful candidates will work closely with a Criminal or Civil Trial Court Judge and their respective Judicial Assistant. Duties include preparing dockets, drafting orders, conducting legal research, preparing jury instructions, coordinating with attorneys and assist in the daily operations of court proceedings.
