Graduating 3Ls | READ THIS TOO!
If you do not plan to sit for the Bar in any state in July 2026, please let Ms. Edwards know when and in which state you plan to take the Bar.
If you do not plan to take the Bar at all, she needs to know that as well.
Taking the Bar exam in Tennessee?
Ms. Edwards needs your notarized Authorization and Release form (page 2 of the Law Degree Verification form). She does not need the entire document from the TNBLE website. You will complete some information on the top page, then have the form notarized. Once you turn in your notarized Authorization and Release form, Ms. Edwards will complete and submit a Law Degree Verification and Dean Certification of Character and Fitness form [pages 3-4] on your behalf.
- KNOW A NOTARY? In front of the notary public, you will sign and date. Once it is notarized, drop the form off to Ms. Edwards (Room 264) or Ms. Hope Mohon (Room 260).
- NEED A NOTARY? Ms. Edwards is a notary public, just email to set an appointment. It takes two minutes. You will leave the page with her.
Taking the Bar exam in a state other than Tennessee?
- Email Ms. Edwards to let her know which state.
- Check your state’s Bar Examiners website for deadlines and requirements. No matter the state, there will be something I will need to provide to them. If you need assistance, please let me know
Several students have not completed this task.
HARD DEADLINE: THIS Friday, April 3, 2026. Write it down, save it on your phone, and/or ask a friend to remind you, just please make sure Ms. Edwards has your notarized form by Friday.
