The University of Memphis Office of Technology Transfer seeks a law student to serve as a part-time assistant (10 hours per week; $20 per hour) in the area of intellectual property.
The Technology Transfer Assistant will assist the OTT Director in various OTT activities related to IP & Licensing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support to OTT Director with certain activities required by the Tennessee Technology Advancement Consortium (TTAC)
- Provide support to OTT Director with various activities related to intellectual property (IP) protection and technology transfer including invention disclosure, patent application, patent prosecution, correspondence with IP law firms, docketing, managing database, reporting, etc.
- Provide support to OTT Director with various activities related to iEdison reporting of federally funded research.
- Other activities as assigned
Anticipated start date: July 1, 2025
Anticipated end date: June 30, 2027
