3L Class Meeting Minutes and Information

The following was discussed at the 3L class meeting:

I. Graduation

May 14, 2016, at 5 PM at the Orpheum Theatre.
Adjunct Professor Leo Bearman is the graduation speaker.
$5 per vehicle at MLGW parking garage — exclusively for us.
We have to provide our own invitations to send out.
We are going to try to sit on the stage.
Kim Ford is singing Nat’l Anthem.
Preston Battle, as SBA President, will begin accepting nominations now for graduation speaker, you can email them to him at wpbattle@memphis.edu. You are not limited to nominating one person but it is prefered that you do. Nominations close at 11:59 p.m. on April 6.
Voting for graduation speaker will occur during composites.
You will also be voting for adjunct of the year and professor of the year during the composites. There will be two full ballots with all of the professors and adjuncts’ names in alphabetical order. You will vote once on each ballot and you are on your honor.
You are allowed to lobby for whom you believe any of the awards should go to or whom the speaker should be.

Thursday, May 12, at 409 S. Main.
Open for anyone.
Hosted by Metropolitan Bank.
We are inviting professors.
They are also inviting some young alumni from last three years, I will be provided with a list and will OK the list before invitations sent out.
There will be printed invitations.
Food, beer and wine, music.
Casual
- 50 Days Party will be on March 24, time TBA. Likely Bardog basement. More announcements today (March 22).

IV. Class Gift

The Dean will match dollar for dollar what we can raise. The link will be posted soon.
We are looking for 50% class participation.
