Summer 2020 Legal Internship Program
The Tennessee Valley Authority, a corporation owned by the U.S. government, is the largest public power provider in the U.S. TVA’s Office of the General Counsel has approximately 40 attorneys that provide a full range of legal services to TVA’s organizations, including representing TVA’s interests in judicial and administrative litigation. Legal interns will be assigned to work on multiple assignments in TVA’s Office of the General Counsel. Assignments are given in terms of specific objectives; work is reviewed upon completion. Guidance is available throughout the assignments.
As always, TVA is especially interested in candidates with diverse backgrounds.
Compensation
For full summer (10 weeks or longer), 40 hours per week, paid legal internship. Hourly wage is $22.25, parking expense reimbursement up to $50 per calendar month, and a $1,500 housing stipend.
Hiring Criteria: Prefer top 33%; Require a 2.75 GPA
