1L Kaplan Diagnostic: Technical Issues Resolved***
Class of 2028,
***If you experienced any technical issues with the platform that prevented you from accessing the diagnostic, those issues should be resolved. If you continue to have an issue, please email the Kaplan representative, Kelty Lonergan, at kelty.lonergan@kaplan.edu or Professor DeShun Harris at dnhrris2@memphis.edu.***
The Kaplan 1L Diagnostic opened on Friday, May 15. The diagnostic is a three-hour multiple-choice session consisting of 100 skills-focused questions. There are 20 questions for each of the five subjects (Torts, Contracts, Civil Procedure, Real Property, and Criminal Law). Questions will also test five skills: Reading Comprehension, Issue Spotting, Rule Recognition, Analysis, and Evaluation. Students will receive an individualized report that will provide information about how they performed across subjects and skills, and how to use the report to aid in their second-year of law school.
Each first-year student will receive an email on Friday, May 15 with their login credentials. You do not need to review anything before the diagnostic. If you are unable to complete the diagnostic in one sitting, the diagnostic will save your progress as you go and can be started and stopped.
If you have any questions about the diagnostic, please email Professor DeShun Harris at dnhrris2@memphis.edu.
