Post Grad Memphis Judicial Clerkship for 2Ls or 3Ls

Judge Thomas L. Parker, District Court Judge for the Western District of Tennessee, is seeking two motivated law clerks for the 2023–24 term.  Applicants should be creative thinkers, polished writers, and excellent researchers.  Judge Parker also values diversity and differing perspectives; he encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply!  Law clerks work closely with Judge Parker on both complex criminal cases and interesting civil matters.  But, at the same time, Judge Parker hopes that his law clerks take the opportunity to explore Memphis, and its rich history, throughout their term.
Judge Parker has extensive experience in both civil and criminal law.  Before the Senate unanimously confirmed him in January 2018, Judge Parker served as a partner in the Memphis office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, and as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Tennessee.  Judge Parker will accept clerkship applications from 2Ls, 3Ls, and recent graduates.  Interested applicants should mail a cover letter, resume, law school transcript, writing sample, and three letters of recommendation to chambers:
The Honorable Thomas L. Parker
Chambers, Room 1111
