Complete Step 4 by March 5 to Participate in Graduation

Dear 3Ls,

I am excited to announce that we anticipate being able to have a separate, outdoor law graduation ceremony for Class of 2021 on May 8, 2021 at the Liberty Bowl.  We expect graduation to be in the evening, but we don’t have an exact time yet, as that will depend on when other graduations earlier in the day are finished.

If there is inclement weather, the ceremony would be moved to the following day, May 9, 2021.

We expect to invite both the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021 to be invited to participate in the ceremony.

At this time, the University does not anticipate being able to hood each graduate individually due to the current environment and social distancing requirements.

We will update you with additional information as we know more.

The Commencement Office sent Step 4 to your Memphis email address on February 26.  This is where you will indicate your intention to participate and make arrangements for your regalia to be ordered. The deadline to complete Step 4 is March 5.

The University Commencement Office will be also be sending additional communications, as well, so please be aware that those communications are also for law students.
