Agricultural Law Program: Registration Waived For All Law Students: June 4-5
We’re glad to waive registration for any Memphis law students who would like to attend the 13th Annual Mid-South Agricultural & Environmental Law Conference on June 4-5. https://nationalaglawcenter.org/midsouth2026/. The conference itself is on June 5 in the Wade Auditorium, preceded by our annual dinner at The Rendezvous on the evening of June 4. This year, we will also host the “Next Generation of Ag & Food Law: Roundtable for Students” from 1:00 to 4:15 in the law school. We welcome any interested students.
We’ll have a session with some NALC staff (Ag Law Issues & Advice), another panel that includes Taylor McNair, Deputy General Counsel & Public Policy Coordinator, Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation; Zach Ghihorski, Senior Director, Government Affairs (and former NALC Research Fellow), National Council of Farmer Cooperatives; and Patrick Moody, Deputy Commissioner, Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries. That panel will focus on looking at ag/food law and policy careers that are outside/on the edge of private practice. Another panel will be a practical demonstration about AI & student research tools, presented by Kirstin Nelson, Senior Law Librarian, Chief, Information & Customer Service Branch, USDA National Agricultural Library.
