Street Law First General Body Meeting

Hello everyone,

A warm welcome to all students on behalf of Street Law!  For the incoming 1L class, Street Law is an organization that partners with schools in Shelby County and educates the youth about law and government.  Members sign up to teach group lessons to partnered schools and bridge the gap between youth and the law. One of Street Law’s core beliefs focuses on equipping  individuals with the requisite knowledge, skill, and confidence to understand how law and government work, to advocate effectively for themselves and others, and to participate in their civic lives.

It is so nice to be able announce that we will be having our first general body meeting Tuesday, August 24, at 12:00 PM in Room 127 (classroom in front of Wade Auditorium).  True to the law school organization meeting style, lunch will be provided for those who attend. We will be overviewing what our organization does for the community as well as outlining our general plans for the upcoming semester. We hope to see you there!
