Diversity & Inclusion Committee Invitation

The Diversity Office is pleased to announce that this year’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee will complete a series of Cultural Competence Workshops with the objective of critiquing the series and considering a proposal to include more opportunities for cultural competence and multicultural lawyering in our program and curriculum. The American Bar Association’s Standards Committee recently released its final recommendations concerning Standard 303(C) involving education on bias and cross-cultural competence. We hope to have several students, faculty, and staff take part in this year’s committee to assist in providing invaluable feedback on the workshop series.

Save the date! The interest meeting for the 21-22 Diversity and Inclusion Committee will be held on Wednesday, September 15th at noon in a Room TBA. Boxed lunch will be provided—please RSVP here.

Space will be limited on this committee to maximize outcomes, promote a safe space for cross-cultural learning, and solicit constructive feedback on the series. The committee will meet once monthly during the school year, on dates/times selected by the committee, once formed.
