Save the Date: Legal Clinic next door, October 11, 3-5pm

          In honor of national pro bono month, PALS and the MBA are collaborating to provide a free legal advice clinic to low-income Memphians.  The clinic will be held next door at the Cossitt Library, on October 11, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

          Please come and earn some pro bono service hours.  Supervising attorneys will be available.

          The Cossitt Library is an important location for this event.  In 1960, students such as yourself staged a sit-in at the library to desegregate it.  It took a lawsuit, Turner v. Randolph, 195 F. Supp. 677 (1961) (which was litigated in our historic courtroom) to integrate the public libraries in Memphis.
