Program Requirements
1. Program Description
The Ciric Law Firm, PLLC is a law firm located in New York, NY, which focuses on cultural heritage law, general litigation for businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals, legal ethics & malpractice litigation (See http://www.ciriclawfirm.com).
The firm is offering application opportunities for a summer internship program for the spring of 2025.
One of the key features of this program is the significant amount of training the accepted students will specifically receive in the area of cultural heritage law, which equates to about 60 hours of legal training through the semester.
2. Application Process
Applications for a summer 2025 internship program should be submitted no later than Friday, January 10, 2025.
Applicants should submit ALL of the following information in PDF format in order to be considered:
– a resume,
– a cover letter,
– a writing sample,
– a law school transcript.
The law school transcript must include all grades through the spring 2025 semester.

No other form of submission will be considered.
The firm will make every effort to provide feedback and final selection decisions on or before January 30, 2025.
3. Job Description

Job Title: Summer Intern Location: as in prior years, the summer interns will be asked to work remotely only. The supervision process will be provided remotely as well, but with high frequency.
Internship dates: From the week of May 5, 2025 to the week of August 18, 2025.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The above-referenced dates are a critical requirement for the summer 2025 internship program. Therefore, when an applicant makes a submission, the applicant expressly agrees that he or she will be available for the entirety of those dates. The lack of such availability throughout this period may be sufficient grounds to reject the application.
Note: the exact internship start and end dates may be modified to accommodate the spring 2025 exam dates as well as the fall 2025 semester start dates of the selected students.
Qualifications:
· Rising 2L or 3L students
· Excellent writing and research skills
· Proactive and able to work independently
· Strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor
· Applicants who already have taken an art law class at the time of the internship start date will be preferred.
Duties:
Legal externs assist attorneys in a wide range of legal projects. The primary goal of the externship program is to assign interns on matters involving an art law pro bono client of the firm, called the Holocaust Art Restitution Project, Inc. Specific tasks may include legal research, drafting memoranda and legal briefs, document production, assisting with trial preparation for litigation, and assisting with various other legal projects as needed.
Compensation: Unpaid internship (*This is pre-approved for pro bono credit at Memphis law; if you seek academic credit for the internship, you must get approval from the externship program)
