The National Lawyer’s Guild invites you to a lecture about Islamic Law by Dr. Yasir Qadhi on Tuesday, April 19th in Wade Auditorium at noon. FREE MIDDLE EASTERN FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED!

Dr. Yasir Qadhi is an expert of Islamic law who will speak about the Islamic faith, common misconceptions, and the threat of radicalization, taking questions at the end.  As ISIS continues to terrorize the world, it is crucial to understand this threat and the implications for US policy at home and abroad.  Do not miss your opportunity to ask questions to a renowned scholar of Islam!

Yasir Kazi (also spelled ′Qadhi′) was born in Houston, TX.  He is a life-long scholar of Islam with a M.Sc in Chemical Engineering (Univ. of Houston), BA degrees in Classical Islamic Sciences and Hadith Studies (Univ. of Medina in Saudi Arabia), as well as an M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. from the Department of Religious Studies at Yale University.  He is the Dean of Academic Affairs at Al Maghrib Institute and the Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Rhodes College.
