International Law Student Association Moot Court Team Presentation

International Law Society would like to invite all faculty, staff, and students to view the International Law Student Association moot court team as they present their argument to a panel of esteemed judges.  We are excited to announce that special guests from the International Monetary Fund will be in attendance. This year’s question will address how the International Court of Justice should rule (1) when a country shuts down its borders in response to the spread of disease, (2) when a person seeks asylum in a foreign consulate against the wishes of his country of citizenship, (3) whether the Court has jurisdiction to decide an issue a nation solely reserves the right to decide, and (4) whether the shooting down of a civilian aircraft is a violation of international law or can it be justified by self-defense.  The presentation will be on February 19 at 6:30 P.M. at the following address.
