GRANTS FOR HEALTH LAW/POLICY RESEARCH ASSISTANTS – DEADLINE APRIL 30

We are now accepting applications for a Research Assistance (RA) grant to help on policy related to law/policy and child/family health for the fall 2018 term. The official announcement and statement of requirements follows below. The deadline for applications is 4:00pm on Monday, April 30. To apply, please submit a resume with cover letter (addressed to Selection Committee) describing your interest in and qualifications for a grant, and the reasons you believe the Committee should select you for a grant. We anticipate having more than one RA position for the fall. (Note: Students should make sure, before applying, this research assistant position would not negatively affect any existing obligations (e.g. Humphreys Fellowship or any other service scholarship).) Submit applications electronically to Ms. Karol Landers at kusmani@memphis.edu, and please submit your materials as a single PDF document. The subject line of the email should clearly state your name and the connection to the Health Law/Policy RA Grant. Please also title your PDF document as “PolicyRA_Last nameFirst name initial” (e.g., PolicyRA_CampbellA). The Health Law/Policy Grants for Research Assistance were created through an award from The Urban Child Institute to the Institute for Health Law & Policy at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. We anticipate having more than one fall semester RA position. Grants will be awarded to students in their second or third year of law school who are in good academic standing and have exemplified academic merit. Preference will be given to students in the Certificate in Health Law Program, in the JD/MPH program, who have taken Health Law, Mental Health Law, or the MLP Clinic, or who have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to the law school’s health law program. All students with an interest in health law and policy are encouraged to apply.
