Good News! Seats Available in Intersession Bar Prep Course (with or without credit)
Good news! Although I previously announced a “last call” to sign up for the Intersession Bar Prep Course (officially, “Introduction to the Multistate: Strategies and Techniques”), we have seats open, and you have another chance to sign up. The course begins on Wednesday, January 2, so you’ll need to sign up by Saturday, December 29, at 11:59 p.m. (Central) to get access before the course begins.
I’ve recently received questions about the cost structure, so let me clarify: There is a materials fee of $299. You pay that fee to Kaplan whether you take the course for credit or without credit. The course is typically available for $799; the law school is covering part of the cost of the course, which is why it is available for $299 instead of $799. If you take the course without credit, that’s the only cost. If you take the course for credit, you will have additional costs in terms of tuition/fees, but how much depends on how many hours you are already taking in Spring 2019. For students taking 11 or more hours, taking the course will add a $20 fee for a total cost of $319. If you are taking 10 or fewer hours, please review this chart to see the tuition/fees associated with adding one credit for the spring.
Remember that you can attend the course remotely (i.e., online) if you take it without credit.
