Counseling Resources

Dear Students,

I wanted to make you aware of several free or low-cost options for counseling for law students.

University Counseling Center

Counseling appointments are available for law students.  Services are free for currently enrolled students.  Appointments can be made by calling the University Counseling Center at 901.678.2068.  Additional information about scheduling is available here.

If you are in crisis, you can call Campus Police at 901-678 HELP (4357) and ask to speak to the on-call counselor.

University of Memphis Psychological Services Center

The University of Memphis Psychological Services Center also offers counseling services at a reduced cost ($12/hour) for full-time students.   Call 901.678.2147 to schedule an appointment.  (Note:  there is no limit to the amount of sessions permitted, unlike the University of Memphis, which has semester limits on the number of visits by each student).

Centers for Good Grief

In addition, The Baptist Centers for Good Grief offer free individual grief counseling to all ages, as young as 4 years old and no cap on the adult age.  Appointments are scheduled Monday-Friday, from 9am-4pm.   Call 901-861-5656 to schedule an appointment.
