3L & 2L Job Application Deadlines
DEADLINES for POSTS FOR 2Ls & 3Ls:
This Sunday, January 13: The Hodum Law Office, PLLC seeks an associate attorney, as well as a 2L or 3L to serve as a law clerk (attorney is flexible regarding law clerk working during the year and/or the summer, and may consider a 3L for the associate position). The firm practices family law, criminal defense, and litigation. Compensation is based on experience. To apply, submit a resume, cover letter, writing sample, and references by January 13. On campus interviews will be held on January 22. Apply via Symplicity OCI, “SPRING 2019 OCI (Jan 21-25)” by 11:59 pm on Sunday January 13.
February 3: Disability Rights Tennessee seeks and unpaid intern for its NASHVILLE office. Interns would receive Pro Bono credit from Memphis Law, or could seek outside funding or academic credit (must be pre-approved). On campus interviews will be held on February 13, the day of the Public Interest Fair. Apply via Symplicity “SPRING 2019 OCI (Feb 11-15).” While there is not a current post-grad job available, DRT will interview interested 3Ls and keep materials on file if there is an opening.
February 3: The Tennessee Department of Children’s Services seeks unpaid interns for its offices STATEWIDE. Interns would receive Pro Bono credit from Memphis Law, or could seek outside funding or academic credit (must be pre-approved). On campus interviews will be held on February 13, the day of the Public Interest Fair. Apply via Symplicity “SPRING 2019 OCI (Feb 11-15).” While there may or may not be a current post-grad job available in a 3L applicant’s preferred geographic area, the DCS will interview interested 3Ls and keep materials on file if there is an opening. This has led to post-grad jobs with the DCS in the past.
