Terminix Corporate Summer 2022 Legal Intern, Memphis, TN
Position Overview
As a Legal Summer Intern at our Branch Support Center in Memphis, Tennessee, you will be given the opportunity to gain “real world” exposure to working in a corporate legal environment to aid in career decisions, enhance practical legal research and writing skills, gain experience working with legal and non-legal professionals, and shadow attorneys and other professionals to observe day-to-day job responsibilities.
During the 10-week program, you will work closely with attorneys and other professionals in the Company’s legal department and will be assigned projects relating to one or more legal functions, including litigation, labor/employment, ethics and compliance, corporate acquisitions and contracts.
To be a successful intern, you will need to possess the following background/experience:
Completed at least 1 year towards Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school
Demonstrated academic success
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency with common business software tools, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to work in a team environment
Proven leadership ability
High attention to detail
Self-motivated
Analytical mindset

Incumbent must be prepared to:
Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.
Incumbent is required to have:
Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.
