TENNESSEE COA HEARING IN THE HISTORIC COURTROOM: FRIDAY, JANUARY 23, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
Memphis Law will host the Tennessee Court of Appeals oral arguments in the Historic Courtroom on Friday, January 23, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Court will hear three cases:
9:30–Werner v. Melton (dog bite case, denial of motion to set aside judgment)
10:30—Southern Auto v. Airways Towing (regarding validity of appeal from General Sessions to Circuit Court), and
11:30—City of Memphis v. Memphis Police Ass’n (regarding propriety of City creating new police position).
