Navy JAG Information

My name is Lieutenant David Jordan, and I am a Recruiting Officer for the Navy JAG Corps servicing Region Legal Service Office Southeast. This year, the Navy JAG Corps Spring 2026 recruiting cycle will be open for applications from January 12th through February 20th. During this cycle, law students may apply to the Student Program, which is the most common way to become a Navy JAG Corps officer. The Student Program enables selected law students to become Collegiate Officer Candidates while attending law school. Upon law school graduation and bar admission, Collegiate Officer Candidates earn their commission at Officer Candidate School (OCS), are trained in military law at Naval Justice School, and then are ready to start their adventure as active duty Navy judge advocates.

As we kick off this new recruiting cycle, we hope you will share information about this opportunity with your interested students. They can find more information about our Student Program by visiting https://www.jag.navy.mil/career/navy-lawyer/student-program/. Please note, the application deadline is February 20, 2026. As part of the application process, applicants must complete a structured interview before the deadline. Applicants may sign up for an interview by using our sign up at https://webmail.apps.mil/book/SoutheastStructuredInterviews@flankspeed.onmicrosoft.us/. If any students have issues scheduling an interview, they may reach out to our team at southeast_jagc_recruiting@us.navy.mil.

Very Respectfully,

David C. Jordan
