Winter 2025 Bar Preparation Support
Dear Graduates,
If you are preparing for the February 2025 bar exam, please note the support we provide during the bar preparation period.
Individual Meetings
Individual meetings are an opportunity for Memphis Law bar takers to discuss study schedules, receive written feedback, to discuss individualized preparation strategies, and to ask substantive questions.
Students may make an appointment and same-day meetings are available. Meetings are available in person, via Zoom, or by phone. Email Professor DeShun Harris at d.harris@memphis.edu.
Four-Part Bar Support Series (via Teams)
Beginning Thursday, January 9 through January 30 there will be a 75-minute workshop each Thursday featuring a component of the bar exam. The workshops are designed for you to gather information during your study period that will enhance your preparation for the bar exam from week to week. It’s also an opportunity for you to gather with your peers during a time that can feel isolating. These sessions will be come-and-go events where the bar preparation director, professors, and others may be in attendance.
Each week an email will be sent providing an overview of what the session that week will feature and any guest lecturers.
Save the date for Thursday, January 9 (time 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM). This first workshop will focus on general bar exam preparation techniques and how to capitalize on the MPT section of the bar exam.
All sessions will be available through Teams and will be recorded.
PMBR Simulated Exam & Review
To get you prepared for an in-person bar exam, we will have an in-person simulated exam. It will include 200 MBE questions. This is scheduled for January 24-26.
Faculty Mentoring
The Faculty Mentorship Program is an opportunity for faculty to partner with graduates who are studying for the bar exam, to provide accountability, encouragement, and a point of contact if the graduates should need anything. You will be paired with a faculty mentor to support you this Winter.
