Judge Gilman of the 6th Circuit seeks Clerks for Memphis Office

Judge Gilman is accepting applications to fill three law-clerk positions. The positions are for one-year terms that begin in August 2024. Judge Gilman will adhere to the Law Clerk Hiring Plan. Current third-year law students and graduates may apply immediately. Those applications will be reviewed beginning in late December 2022. Interviews will begin in January 2023 and will continue until the positions are filled. If any vacancies still exist, second-year law students may apply, but those applications will not be reviewed until they are released to judges on June 12, 2023. Only applications submitted through OSCAR will be considered. High class rank and the quality of the writing sample are afforded great weight. The writing sample (which may be an excerpt) must be unedited by anyone other than the applicant. All interviews will be conducted by video conference on Zoom.
