Planning to Graduate in May 2021? READ THIS!

Planning to graduate in May 2021?  Great! Next week, be on the lookout for an email from Cheryl Edwards, Law Registrar.  Read the email in its entirety, because it will contain the detailed steps you will take to apply to graduate.

Below are some deadlines you should know. Get those phones or calendars out (or both), and flag these dates as important! If you do not receive an email and believe you should have, or if you have questions, please contact cedwrds2@memphis.edu.

Step One – Complete the Graduation Checklist

A Graduation Checklist will be attached to the email you will receive.  You will not be approved to graduate until the Law Registrar’s office has reviewed, approved your checklist, and provided you with feedback. The deadline to complete and return the checklist to Ms. Edwards is October 16, 2020.

Step Two – Apply to Graduate in myMemphis 

The deadline to apply to graduate is January 21, 2021. This is a hard deadline.

Step Three – Diploma name, diploma mailing address, and gown information

This step will be also be completed in myMemphis. The deadline is February 12, 2021.

NOTE: Name changes should be processed prior to February 12, 2021. To determine if you need a name change processed, please read this. Your official name appears in your email. If you have an incorrect spelling, improper capitalization, etc., you’ll need a name change.
