Mac users! READ ME! Important info re: EXAM4 and your MacOS

READ THIS ENTIRE BLOG POST!!

Mac Users: Do NOT update your laptop computers with the Fall 2019 Mac OS Update “Catalina”. EXAM4 SOFTWARE WILL NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH THIS UPDATE in time for mid-terms and final exams.

Below is the official message from IT:

Exam4 has advised that its software will not be compatible with this update in time for our mid-term exams and final exams.  If you update your operating systems, Exam4 will not work on your computer.  These types of updates cannot be undone.  Accordingly, you should not update your operating systems or purchase computers with the updated operating systems.

If you need help with turning off automatic updates please contact IT at lawit@memphis.edu or go by the IT office, room 209.

If you have any other questions feel free to contact Abby Gardner, or stop by room 262.

Here are details on how to disable updated for Mac. Do not update the new MacOS release 10.15 called “Catalina”.
