color: black;\">Enrollment in the Law School&#8217;s Externship Course is an incredible way to earn valuable legal experience and academic credit while working under the supervision of judges and practicing attorneys. \u00a0 If you are not one of the students already enrolled in the Spring 2017 Externship Course, I write to share that there remain a small\u00a0number of field placements available through the\u00a0Course, including a <i>newly formalized placement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers<\/i>. \u00a0Among them are the following: \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\">U.S. Army Corps of Engineers &#8211; Memphis District Office of Counsel <i>(see description <a href=\"http:\/\/memphislawblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/U.S.-Army-Corps-of-Engineers-Office-of-District-Counsel-Field-Placement.pdf\">here<\/a>)<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\">U.S. Bankruptcy Court (two credits; 8 weekly placement hours)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\">Memphis Area Legal Services &#8211; Education Law\/Partnership for Education Advocacy and Parity\u00a0(two credits; 8 weekly placement hours)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\">Memphis Area Legal Services &#8211; Consumer Unit (two credits; 8 weekly placement hours)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">Memphis Area Legal Services &#8211; Family Law\/Senior Benefits (two credits; 8 weekly placement hours)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\">Memphis City Attorney&#8217;s Office &#8211; Litigation Unit (two credits; 8 weekly placement hours)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\">Shelby County Health Department (two credits; 8 weekly placement hours)<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;
