A group of students along with Professor D. Schaffzin and Professor Ritz are reviving the Federal Bar Association here at Cecil C.\u00a0 The Federal Bar Association hosts various CLE\u2019s, networking opportunities, and events to keep federal attorneys up-to-date on the latest legal issues.<\/p>\n
Law school chapters of the FBA provide countless educational and networking opportunities, especially for students who are interested in working, externing, interning, or clerking for the U.S. Attorney\u2019s office, the Federal Public Defender, firms that frequently do litigation in federal court, or for federal judges.<\/p>\n
As a brand new organization, all of the executive board positions are open\u2014President, President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and possibly a 1L position.\u00a0 If you\u2019re interested at all in running, sign up for the Federal Bar Association TWEN page and submit a short statement-of-interest (no longer than one page) on the TWEN page\u2019s dropbox by Thursday, 2\/25 at 10 a.m.<\/strong>, and attend next week\u2019s meeting on Thursday, 2\/25 in room 233<\/strong> at noon<\/strong> and be prepared to give about a one minute, informal statement about why you\u2019re running and why you should win.\u00a0 You must be present at the meeting to run.
