The deadline to apply is March 15th, 2016. <em>Please note this organization will be present at the Public Interest Fair on 2\/17<\/em>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This pipeline program places law school students in our Gideon\u2019s Promise partner offices for the summer &#8211; roughly 6-8 weeks. Clerks are paired with a Gideon\u2019s Promise-trained lawyer, exposed to indigent defense practice, and the Gideon\u2019s Promise network of support.\u00a0Clerks gain valuable experience drafting legal documents, conducting witness and client interviews, jail visits, assisting public defenders with cases, briefs, motions, and will have opportunities to conduct legal research, and much, much more.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the beginning their clerkships, selected students will attend an orientation in Atlanta hosted by Gideon\u2019s Promise, the Southern Center for Human Rights, and other Atlanta-based public interest organizations.
