{"id":4692,"date":"2016-01-26T10:05:11","date_gmt":"2016-01-26T16:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/onlegalgrounds.law.memphis.edu\/wordpress\/?p=4692"},"modified":"2016-01-26T10:06:05","modified_gmt":"2016-01-26T16:06:05","slug":"be-a-witness-for-the-national-trial-team-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/memphislawblog.com\/index.php\/be-a-witness-for-the-national-trial-team-2\/","title":{"rendered":"BE A WITNESS FOR THE NATIONAL TRIAL TEAM!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;color: black\">As it prepares for the upcoming National Trial Competition, the Law School&#8217;s National Trial Team is in need of witnesses for its practice trials this weekend (January 30th and 31st),\u00a0next weekend (February 6th\u00a0and 7th), and the weekend following next (February 13th and 14th). \u00a0The practice trials are held in the Historic Courtroom and generally start around 1:30 p.m. \u00a0In addition to helping the National Trial Team ready for competition, participation as a witness is a wonderful introduction to and\/or refresher in oral advocacy, trial practice and procedure, and the rules of evidence. \u00a0This year&#8217;s case, Fortenberry v.
