{"id":4516,"date":"2015-12-22T15:33:01","date_gmt":"2015-12-22T21:33:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/onlegalgrounds.law.memphis.edu\/wordpress\/?p=4516"},"modified":"2015-12-22T16:31:20","modified_gmt":"2015-12-22T22:31:20","slug":"mandatory-1l-workshop-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/memphislawblog.com\/index.php\/mandatory-1l-workshop-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Mandatory 1L Workshop Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear 1L Students:<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations on being finished with your first set of law school exams!<\/p>\n<p>In the past,\u00a0\u00a01L students have been\u00a0required to attend a mandatory workshop in January just before the start of school.\u00a0 This workshop provided an opportunity for the Law School\u00a0to provide important information to all 1L students.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of requiring students to return to school a day early,\u00a0we will be hosting a series of lunchtime workshops during the Spring semester. \u00a0In general, these\u00a0workshops will take place on Thursdays\u00a0from 12 \u2013 12:50. Since these workshops will take the place of the mandatory one-day workshop, attendance at each of the workshop sessions is also mandatory for all 1L students.\u00a0 Attendance will be taken, and lunch will be provided.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Academic Success Program will be hosting several ASP workshops for 1Ls over the course of the spring semester. \u00a0These workshops will also usually take place on Thursdays during the lunch hour.<\/p>\n<p>We will publish a workshop schedule in January, but it would be best to assume that you will have a Thursday lunch obligation most weeks this spring.<\/p>\n<p>I hope you all have a wonderful holiday break, and I will look forward to seeing you all back in January.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks,<br \/>\nDean Aden<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear 1L Students: Congratulations on being finished with your first set of law school exams!
