{"id":4146,"date":"2015-10-28T16:13:26","date_gmt":"2015-10-28T21:13:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/onlegalgrounds.law.memphis.edu\/wordpress\/?p=4146"},"modified":"2015-11-01T13:31:39","modified_gmt":"2015-11-01T19:31:39","slug":"2016-diversity-leadership-institute-information-session-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/memphislawblog.com\/index.php\/2016-diversity-leadership-institute-information-session-2\/","title":{"rendered":"TOMORROW: 2016 Diversity Leadership Institute Information Session"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-inner\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The Student Affairs Office of Diversity will host an info session on how you can be a part of the<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Tennessee Bar Association\u2019s <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>DIVERSITY LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (DLI)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND @ NOON in ROOM 233.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">DLI is a six-month leadership and mentoring program for Tennessee law students in their second, third or fourth years of study. Now in its sixth year, the program is designed to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>Develop skills to succeed as a law student and attorney;<\/li>\n<li>Empower students to contribute more to the legal community;<\/li>\n<li>Match students to mentors in a diverse variety of practice areas; and<\/li>\n<li>Build relationships among students of diverse backgrounds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The goal of the program is to have a diverse class, so selection is based in part on race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, background, geographical factors and law schools attended.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">At this info session you will hear from Diversity Committee Chairperson, Atty.
