Congratulations<\/span>\u00a0on your commencement from law school! To aid you in your preparation for the bar exam, we have resources available to you throughout the summer.<\/div>\n

Free Bar\u00a0Snacks<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The law school will provide students preparing for the bar\u00a0exam on campus with readily available snacks! An assortment of snacks is available daily from\u00a0Tuesday, May 26, through the end of the\u00a0summer. You can find them on the third floor in the faculty suite. (Please feel free to send any snack recommendations to me.)<\/div>\n

Bar\u00a0Support\u00a0Series: Weigh-In Wednesday<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
WEIGH-IN WEDNESDAY is a time for you to gather information during your study period that will enhance your preparation\u00a0for the\u00a0bar\u00a0exam from week to week. It\u2019s also an opportunity for you to gather with your peers during a time that can feel isolating. These sessions will be come-and-go events where the\u00a0bar\u00a0preparation\u00a0director, professors, and others may be in attendance. This year we will have refresher sessions on Evidence, Criminal Law, and Property with your professors.<\/div>\n

The first workshop is on Wednesday, May 27<\/u><\/b> (3:00 pm \u2013 4:15 pm). Room 127 and via Teams (see your email for login information).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This first workshop will focus on general\u00a0bar\u00a0exam preparation\u00a0techniques, stress management techniques, and how to capitalize on the MPT section of the\u00a0bar\u00a0exam.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Every Wednesday from May 27\u00a0\u2013 June 24 from 3:00 pm – 4:15 pm. All sessions will be recorded.<\/div>\n

Individual Bar\u00a0Exam Consultations<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Individual consultations are an opportunity for Memphis Law\u00a0bar\u00a0takers to discuss study schedules, receive written feedback, discuss individualized preparation\u00a0strategies, and ask substantive questions.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Email Professor DeShun Harris at\u00a0d.harris@memphis.edu\u00a0or use the\u00a0link<\/u><\/a>\u00a0to schedule an appointment or request more information. Office drop-ins are also available.<\/div>\n

Faculty\u00a0Bar\u00a0Mentoring<\/strong><\/div>\n

Every graduate of the Class of 2026 will receive a Faculty Bar\u00a0Mentor. You should expect to hear from your\u00a0bar\u00a0mentor in the coming weeks. Your mentor will send out encouragement and tips as you prepare.<\/div>\n

MBE Simulations<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The law school will provide a space for you to take your bar\u00a0preparation company\u2019s simulations. We will provide space and lunch on four different dates (most of which align with each of the big three company\u2019s dates). Details TBA.<\/div>\n

PMBR Access<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Please note that you will have continued access to PMBR throughout the entire\u00a0bar\u00a0preparation period. If you have lost your online access, please let me know.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Counseling Center Access<\/b><\/div>\n

Designated Bar Study Space<\/b><\/div>\n

If you would like a dedicated office or study room in the law school to use during your bar prep, please contact Hope Mohon at nhmohon@memphis.edu. We will reserve the space for your exclusive use until the end of July.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
