The University of Texas School of Law is very excited to be able to launch its fifth annual\u00a0Student Fellowship to The University of Texas School of Law\u2019s Nonprofit Organizations Institute<\/b><\/a>.\u00a0The application is now open\u2014with a deadline of October 31.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

This fellowship program was created to encourage participation and engagement in the tax-exempt organizations practice of law by introducing 2nd and 3rd year law students to the practice area, providing opportunities for mentorship, and creating a network of law students interested in pursuing the practice.\u00a0Many students do not even realize that this is a specific area of practice to pursue.<\/span><\/p>\n

A single-year fellowship will be awarded to\u00a0up to ten recipients<\/b>\u00a0that allows for\u00a0in-person attendance to The University of Texas School of Law\u2019s 43rd<\/sup>\u00a0Annual Nonprofit Organizations Institute on January 21-23, 2026 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, TX.\u00a0<\/b>The Institute is a continuing legal and professional education conference that brings together nationally recognized experts from private foundations, public charities, law, finance, and government to discuss the latest tax, legislative and governance issues affecting nonprofit organizations.\u00a0<\/a>(For reference, see our\u00a0PRIOR year\u2019s conference brochure<\/a>, including full agenda and conference faculty.)<\/p>\n

Again, because of the timing of the January conference, the application window is tight \u2013\u00a0applications are due by October 31st<\/sup>\u00a0<\/b><\/a>. We are casting a national net, but and we want as many interested students to apply as possible.<\/p>\n
