Most of my family still lives in the Whitehaven\/Germantown areas. I have been at Brown &amp; James, PC for three years now and now sit on the Hiring Committee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x16tdsg8\" dir=\"ltr\">Brown &amp; James primarily does defense of insurance companies. Many of our partners practice in medical and legal malpractice, consumer and business, construction, transportation, and general tort practice (e.g. premises, negligence, defamation, etc.). We routinely try cases to completion and through trial.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x16tdsg8\" dir=\"ltr\">First year associates can expect to second-chair trials, conduct depositions of plaintiffs and fact witnesses, defend depositions of insureds, independently try small-claims matters, argue substantive dispositive motions, and draft pleadings, discovery, and pre-trial motions.
