The United States Marine Corps Judge Advocate (JAG) program is accepting applications for highly motivated individuals ready to lead, serve, and practice law at the highest level.<\/p>\n

About the Role<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

As a Marine Judge Advocate, you\u2019ll serve not only as an attorney\u2014but as a Marine Corps Officer. You will lead Marines, deploy globally, and provide legal expertise across military justice, international law, operational law, and more.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Represent the United States in courts-martial, administrative boards, and investigations<\/li>\n
  • Advise commanders on legal issues involving the Law of Armed Conflict, rules of engagement, and operational law<\/li>\n
  • Provide legal assistance to Marines and their families on personal civil matters<\/li>\n
  • Deliver legal support on issues including contract law, ethics, environmental law, and fiscal law<\/li>\n
  • Gain trial experience and leadership opportunities far beyond those in the civilian sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

      \n
    • 1L, 2L, or 3L law students or licensed attorneys<\/li>\n
    • U.S. citizens eligible for a Secret security clearance<\/li>\n
    • Strong moral character, leadership potential, and physical fitness<\/li>\n
    • Willingness to accept the challenge of becoming a United States Marine Corps Officer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Required Skills<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

      • Legal expertise in military justice and operational law<\/li>\n
      • Strong communication and leadership skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Preferred Skills<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

        • Experience in trial advocacy<\/li>\n
        • Knowledge of international law<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Pay range and compensation package<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n
