{"id":36768,"date":"2025-04-20T17:10:19","date_gmt":"2025-04-20T22:10:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/memphislawblog.com\/?p=36768"},"modified":"2025-04-20T17:10:19","modified_gmt":"2025-04-20T22:10:19","slug":"honor-council-election-results-and-runoff-election-timeline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/memphislawblog.com\/index.php\/honor-council-election-results-and-runoff-election-timeline\/","title":{"rendered":"Honor Council Election Results and Runoff Election Timeline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Memphis Law,<\/p>\n<p>I am excited to share the results of the 2025\/2026 Honor Council Election.\u00a0 Please join me in congratulating the following students who were chosen by their peers to uphold the Memphis Law Honor Code:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Rising 2Ls who will serve a two-year term on the Honor Council<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Riley Pearson<\/strong> (2L Secretary; 3L Chief Justice)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Max Friedman<\/strong> (2L Student Justice; 3L Associate Chief Justice)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chaymus Yarbro<\/strong> (2L Student Justice; 3L Senior Student Justice)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Rising 3L who will serve a one-year term on the Honor Council<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chris Brown<\/strong> (3L Student Justice)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, there was a three-way tie on the rising 2L ballot to select the final two Student Justice positions.\u00a0 Therefore, a runoff election will be held from 8:00 AM on Monday, April 21 through 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 23 among the following students:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lily Beth Durbin<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tyler Foster<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dulce Maria Salcedo<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The two candidates with the most votes will be seated for a two-year term on the Honor Council.\u00a0 Only rising 2Ls may vote.\u00a0 Please vote here: <a href=\"https:\/\/memphis.campuslabs.com\/engage\/submitter\/election\/start\/683840\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/memphis.campuslabs.com\/engage\/submitter\/election\/start\/683840<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If any issues arise, please contact nathan.daniels@memphis.edu.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, thank you to all students who participated in this year&#8217;s elections process.\u00a0 Congratulations again to the students who were selected by their peers to serve in this meaningful role.\u00a0 And to all who were nominated, remember that a nomination in and of itself is a great honor.<\/p>\n<p>Best wishes on preparing for finals and finishing out the semester strong.<\/p>\n<p>Sincerely,<br \/>\nNathan L.
