Banner Diversity Fellowship for law students.<\/strong> This Fellowship is part of Banner Witcoff\u2019s continuing commitment to\u00a0strengthening diversity and inclusion in the field of intellectual property law.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><u>1L Applicants<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Banner Witcoff will award $5,000 in law school tuition or other school-related expenses to Fellowship recipients upon completion of their 1L clerkship in the firm\u2019s summer program (in <strong>Chicago, IL or Washington, D.C.<\/strong>). If a 1L student returns to the firm\u2019s summer program for any part of their 2L summer and accepts a full-time position with Banner Witcoff, the student will receive an additional $5,000 financial award payable upon acceptance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The maximum award possible for any Fellowship recipient is $10,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Please note our 2L class has already been filled, however applicants for our 1L class will be considered until January 3, 2025.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The Donald W. Banner Diversity Fellowship is open to all 1L and 2L law students who meet the selection criteria and have entered into a JD program at an ABA-accredited law school in the United States are eligible to apply for the Donald W. Banner Diversity Fellowship.\u00a0 <strong>Applicants must have a demonstrated record of academic achievement, excellent interpersonal skills,\u00a0<u>a scientific or engineering degree, and be eligible to take the Patent Bar Exam<\/u>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div><b>Selection Criteria<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Award is based on the following criteria:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Academic merit (undergraduate, graduate and law school)<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to the pursuit of a career in IP law<\/li>\n<li>Sincere interest in a career at Banner Witcoff<\/li>\n<li>A demonstrated commitment to strengthening diversity and inclusion in the field of IP law, including those who identify as a member of a historically underrepresented group in IP law Written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Verbal communication skills determined through an interview of the law student<\/li>\n<li>Leadership qualities and community involvement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Please direct all interested law school students to our website:\u00a0<a title=\"Original URL: https:\/\/bannerwitcoff.com\/careers\/open-positions\/.
