Students&#8217; designated registration day is determined by their total <em>attempt*\u00a0<\/em>hours listed on their unofficial transcript. Our Course Grid, Course Schedule, Registration Memo, Exam Schedule, etc. are posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.memphis.edu\/law\/registrar\/registration_courseinformation.php\">Law Registrar&#8217;s website<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MARK YOUR CALENDAR: A demonstration of the NEW registration process is scheduled for APRIL 8 at NOON in the Wade Auditorium. You want to know how to register on your designated day!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DESIGNATED REGISTRATION DAYS &amp; TIMES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE: Current semester hours are NOT included in attempted hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dual or Joint Degree (MBA, POLI, etc.) courses only \u2013 Monday, April 1 @ 7:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Veterans &#8211; Wednesday, April 10 @ 8:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>43+ attempt* hours \u2013 Monday, April 15 @ Noon.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>15-42 attempt* hours \u2013 Wednesday, April 17 @ Noon.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>0-14 attempt* hours \u2013 Friday, April 19 @\u00a0 Noon.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Current semester hours are NOT included in attempted hours.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Students are NOT allowed to register earlier than their designated registration day, despite any messaging received from the main campus. This is closely monitored by the Law School Registrar&#8217;s office. If a student registers earlier than their designated registration day, they will be dropped from all courses.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>*HOW TO FIND STUDENTS&#8217; \u201cATTEMPT\u201d HOURS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Log into the\u00a0<em>myMemphis<\/em>\u00a0Portal.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Under the Student tab, click My Resources then find the Banner Self-Service section.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Click Student, then click Student Records, then click Academic Transcript.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Choose the current term. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find \u201cAttempt Hours.\u201d<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>NOTE: Attempt hours do NOT include the current semester hours.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT REGISTRATION-RELATED ACADEMIC REGULATIONS:\u00a0Below are important\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.memphis.edu\/law\/registrar\/academic-regulations.php\">Academic Regulations<\/a>\u00a0to review before registering for classes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Academic Regulation 5.1 \u2013 FT students must enroll in at least 12 credit hours (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.memphis.edu\/law\/documents\/requestforpermissiontofallbelowcredithourminimum.docx\">Request a waiver<\/a>)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Academic Regulation 5.1 \u2013 FT students may enroll in up to 18 credit hours EXCEPT that (a) a student with less than a 2.5 cumulative grade point average may not enroll in more than 16 credit<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>hours and (b) a student enrolled in an externship program may not enroll in more than 16 credit hours, including the externship.\u00a0 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.memphis.edu\/law\/documents\/requestforpermissiontoexceedcredithourmax.docx\">Request a waiver<\/a>)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Academic Regulation 5.2 \u2013 PT students must enroll in at least 8 credit hours, but no more than 11 credit hours<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Academic Regulation 8.1 \u2013 Transfer to FT (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.memphis.edu\/law\/documents\/requestforpermissiontotransfertofull-timeprogram.docx\">Request permission to transfer<\/a>)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Academic Regulation 10.1(b) \u2013 Students may not register for courses that have conflicting examination schedules without prior permission from the (Associate) Dean (<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/ExamConflict\">Request a waiver<\/a>)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Academic Regulation 16.1(d) 1 &amp; 2 \u2013 Limitations on Courses for Credit toward Graduation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>THIS AND THAT<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>If a student has needed an Alternate PIN in the past registration period, or <em>myMemphis<\/em> indicates they need one, contact Ms. Edwards. STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO CHECK THIS BEFORE THEIR DESIGNATED REGISTRATION DAY.\u00a0 An Alternate PIN\u00a0<em>will\u00a0<\/em>prevent registration. Students will be super frustrated, because they may not get a seat in a highly sought-after course.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Suppose a student owes the University money and has a hold on their account. In that case, they must have the hold cleared BEFORE their designated registration day or the system <em>will\u00a0<\/em>prevent registration.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Students need to review the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.memphis.edu\/law\/registrar\/registration_courseinformation.php\">Exam Schedule<\/a> and check the exam schedule for planned courses. If any courses have conflicting exams, the student must <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/ExamConflict\">request a waiver<\/a>\u00a0from Dean Wilson\u00a0BEFORE\u00a0registering for any courses.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>All Law School registration-related questions or concerns should be communicated to Ms. <a href=\"https:\/\/memphislawblog.com\/index.php\/rising-2ls-and-3ls-read-this-summer-fall-2022-registration\/cedwrds2@memphis.edu\">Cheryl Edwards<\/a>\u00a0in the Law Registrar\u2019s office.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Financial Aid questions?
