Steven Stafford of the Tennessee Court of Appeals is seeking a clerk for the August 2023-August 2024 term in his office in Dyersburg, TN. Individuals should be excellent writers and independent thinkers who want to gain valuable experience and networking opportunities by working with one of the longest-serving appellate judges in Tennessee. Judge Stafford&#8217;s clerks have gone on to a variety of different law careers, including private practice at big and small firms, Tennessee Supreme Court clerkships, federal clerkships, the Tennessee Attorney General&#8217;s Office, public defender&#8217;s offices across the country, and state circuit court judgeships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">Judge Stafford is seeking candidates with these <em>preferred<\/em> qualifications:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">Top 1\/3 of the class<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">Journal and\/or moot court experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">Excellent research and writing skills<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">In order to apply, candidates should submit the following: (1) cover letter; (2) resume; (3) unofficial transcript; (4) writing sample; (5) and a list of three references via Symplicity OCI, &#8220;FALL 2022 OCI: The Honorable J.
