A Zoom presentation and question-and-answer session regarding career opportunities with the<\/span> Tennessee General Assembly\u2019s Office of Legal Services (OLS) is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, from Noon-1:00 p.m. (CDT). <\/strong><\/span> Jamie Shanks and Joel Hayes, OLS Legislative Attorneys, will be presenting “Legislative Attorneys: Practicing Law Outside of the Courtroom\u201d.<\/strong> This presentation seeks to provide insight into a unique legal career for attorneys who have an interest in research and writing and prefer an advisory role rather than one of advocacy. Jamie and Joel will discuss their careers as attorneys who draft legislation for and provide legal analysis and advice to state legislators. The Tennessee General Assembly\u2019s Office of Legal Services (OLS) will be posting jobs for new grads in July, so if you are interested in working as an attorney with the Tennessee Legislature, be sure to attend this presentation.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
