Preference will be given to those who have passed the Bar Exam or those who are taking the Bar in July of this year. The projected salary range for this position is $39,000 &#8211; $40,000 and is subject to the approved pay scale of Rutherford County Government. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bi6gxh9e\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"afihi\" data-offset-key=\"2s76k-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"2s76k-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"2s76k-0-0\">The expected length of the clerkship is one year. Successful candidates will work closely with a Criminal or Civil Court Trial Judge and their respective Judicial Assistant. Duties include preparing dockets, drafting orders, conducting legal research, preparing jury instructions and coordinating with attorneys. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bi6gxh9e\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"afihi\" data-offset-key=\"1kqi2-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"1kqi2-0-0\"><strong>All applicants may e-mail their resumes and writing samples to Terri Riedley at triedley@rutherfordcountytn.gov. Applicants should indicate their interest in either Criminal or Civil law, or both. The deadline date for these applications is April 29, 2022.<\/strong><span data-offset-key=\"1kqi2-0-1\"> It is anticipated that the positions will become available in the Summer of 2022.
