Mock Trial Evidence Workshop this FRIDAY!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you to everyone who attended Moot Court\u2019s Trial Tactics Workshop!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sign-ups are NOW OPEN<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>close on Friday, February 4, at 11:59PM<\/strong>\u00a0and is\u00a0<strong>open for 2Ls and 3Ls<\/strong>. Information on the competition can be found on the \u201cMock Trial Competition\u201d TWEN page. It is\u00a0<em>imperative<\/em>\u00a0that competitors\u00a0<strong>submit their conflict sheets as soon as possible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Moot Court focuses on the Appellate Phase of a case and Mock Trial represents the Trial Phase of a case. Teams will compete by doing a brief (1.5-3 hour) criminal trial against each other in competition for the championship. Participation in Moot Court\u2019s competitions will help you earn a spot on the Moot Court Board, and competitors need only write a one-to-five-page motion in limine to participate.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, the Moot Court Board\u2019s Associate Chief Justice for the Mock Trial Competition, Zach Monroe, will be leading a workshop at\u00a0<strong>2:30PM on Friday, January 28<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>in the Historic Courtroom<\/strong> will provide an overview of the rules of evidence related to the competition. <strong>Food will be provided<\/strong>, so do NOT miss out on these amazing opportunities to learn more about trial advocacy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you to everyone who attended Moot Court\u2019s Trial Tactics Workshop!
