The Tennessee General Sessions Judges Conference Scholarship<\/strong> will be awarded to a Tennessee law school student who has demonstrated a sustained, passionate commitment to achieving equality opportunity and access to all in the justice system. This scholarship in the amount of $500, will be presented to the recipient in October 2021 at the Sheraton Music City.<\/p>\n

Applicant must:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Be enrolled as a second- or third-year law student in good academic standing; and<\/li>\n
  2. Submit a (500-1000) word essay on the \u201cImportance of the 3 Branches of Government<\/em>\u201d and<\/li>\n
  3. Submit a Resume; and<\/li>\n
  4. Submit a statement of financial need; and<\/li>\n
  5. Submit an official law transcript.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The (500-1000) word essay on the \u201cImportance of the 3 Branches of Government<\/em>\u201d must focus on diversity in the legal profession, and include the following:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The applicant\u2019s talents, passions and background experience in advancing the future of justice in the emerging legal landscape; and<\/li>\n
    2. Identify and\/or forecast future trends and challenges in the legal profession and how the applicant would address such trends and challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
