The upcoming 43rdh Annual Forum meeting is going <strong>virtual <\/strong>for the first time ever, but still features the best that the Forum has to offer almost thirty workshops focusing on various aspects of franchise law, our renown morning update of the most important developments in franchise law, and many other events. All in all, it&#8217;s a great opportunity to learn about franchising and network with the top practitioners in the field. Additional information is available in the online meeting brochure at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanbar.org\/groups\/franchising\">https:\/\/www.americanbar.org\/groups\/franchising<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As the Membership Officer of the ABA Forum on Franchising, I am extending an invitation to law students from your school who have an interest (or may have an interest) in franchise law. <\/strong>Those of us who concentrate on franchise law in our practices typically arrived in franchising through another door. For some, it was through litigation or antitrust law. For others, it was through trademark or general corporate law. Students who have an interest in any of these areas may find the opportunity to learn more about franchise and distribution law and make connections with leading franchise lawyers from large, medium, and small firms at the Forum this year attractive.<\/p>\n<p>This year, since the meeting is virtual, the ABA Forum is offering to waive the $100 registration for a limited number of law students that wish to attend the virtual program on Thursday October 29<sup>th<\/sup> and\/or Friday October 30<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, which includes registration to attend the ABA Forum\u2019s Diversity Caucus Presentation in which Former Detroit Police Chief Dr. McKinnon will present \u201cGeorge Floyd could have been me\u201d.
