The student is a non-voting member of the board. Student Trustee Selection Committee will take applications, interview, and recommend at most the names of three students to the President for a final selection to be presented to the Board.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend all Board of Trustees meetings, including corresponding committee meetings of which may be appointed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide University updates\/reports to the SGA Senate at regular senate meetings<\/li>\n<li>Work with the presidents of the Student Government Association, Student Bar Association, and<\/li>\n<li>Graduate Student Association<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Position Qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time student based on number of credits each classification denotes as full-time<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA (Undergraduate &amp; Graduate)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA (Law)<\/li>\n<li>Undergraduates shall be one of the following classifications at the time of applying<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2nd Semester Sophomore<\/p>\n<p>1st Semester Junior<\/p>\n<p>2nd Semester Junior<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Law students shall be either in their 1st or 2nd year<\/li>\n<li>Graduate students (Doctoral included) shall have at least completed one semester within their degree program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be in good academic and conduct standing<\/li>\n<li>Be enrolled and serve for the full 1-year term<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications on Tigerzone: April 13 &#8211; April 20 (<a href=\"https:\/\/memphis.campuslabs.com\/engage\/submitter\/form\/start\/401988\">https:\/\/memphis.campuslabs.com\/engage\/submitter\/form\/start\/401988<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Interviews via Zoom: April 21 and April 22<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Students, The University is seeking applicants for a Student Trustee position.\u00a0 Information is below.
